Meet the Team

Daniel R. DeHoek

Managing Member

Dan began his career with the local firm of Dieterman, Linden, Manske & Strassburger, PC. In 1989, that firm merged with Plante & Moran, creating the current Grand Rapids office. In 1993, Dan started his own firm, DeHoek & Company, PLLC.
Dan’s expertise includes tax, accounting and financial services for small businesses, professional firms, non-profits and individuals. In addition, he is accredited in Business Valuation by the AICPA and has extensive experience as an expert witness in Circuit and District court. In the financial services area, Dan has successfully completed both the Series 7 and 66 exams.
Dan’s community involvement includes being past President of the Grand Rapids Junior Chamber of Commerce (“Jaycees”), co-chairman of the Grand Rapids Charity Golf Classic and campaign manager for judicial and local political campaigns.

Jonathan M. DeHoek

Senior Associate
CPA | EA | Tax and Audit Specialist

Jon’s responsibilities include business, individual, and non-profit tax return preparation, auditing, and bookkeeping. He joined our team in 2014, earned his Bachelor’s degree from GVSU in 2016, his EA in 2018, and his CPA in 2021.

Earning both his CPA and EA licenses proves dedication and a commitment to providing the most knowledgeable service possible for his clients and allows him to represent taxpayers before the IRS.

Renee A. Schall

Office Manager | Executive Assistant

Renee has extensive experience in sales, customer service, bookkeeping, and office management, including payroll, accounting, human resources, and personal taxes. She is knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Creative Solutions, and QuickBooks software. Renee joined the office in the fall of 2007, bringing with her over twenty years of work experience in various small office environments.
